If you are involved in managing volunteers, you will know that it can often be hard to find the information, and advice you need to make sure that you are operating a good practice volunteer programme. The role of the Volunteer Network Centre is to support groups that involve volunteers by supplying them with all the necessary information and guidance they might need to manage safely and successfully their volunteers. Becoming a member of the Volunteer Network Centre will enable you to access a number of resources aimed at supplying you with the information and advice required to make your volunteering programme one of quality and success. Most of the resources are completely free or very low cost. Resources include:
Volunteer brokerage Up-to-date information on latest volunteering news including new policy, funding and events Joint celebration events including National Volunteer Week, Make a Difference Day Evaluation and monitoring methods Most importantly the Volunteer Network Centre is constantly on hand to supply you with advice or support Volunteer Co-ordinators or Managers with answers to queries you might have about your programme. With volunteering high on government agenda and constantly in the National press, more and more pressure is being put on Volunteer Managers to operate good practice. The Volunteer Network Centre is there for you to use its resources to take the pressure off and support the management of your volunteering programme. The Volunteer Network Centre offers an excellent and good quality brokerage service. We have supplied volunteers from all walks of life, diverse backgrounds with a range of skills to voluntary and community groups throughout Newham and further a field.
